The Charmaster Hot Water furnace is more than just a furnace - it is a SUPER EFFICIENT HEAT STORAGE SYSTEM. The two major components of this system are the Charmaster Hot water Furnace and the Charmaster Hot Water Storage Tank. The furnace heats the water while the storage tank stores the hot water until it is needed to heat your home.

More Than Just a Furnace . . .
The Charmaster Hot Water Furnace is designed for use as a primary Wood Only heating system. It can be an add-on to any existing home heating system. Our Charmaster Hot Water Furnace is a wood-only furnace. We do not have an oil or gas back-up available on this furnace.

The Charmaster Hot Water Furnace heats water very efficiently. Water is circulated between the hot water furnace and the 200-gallon water storage tank. The insulated hot water storage tank stores the hot water for future use in heating your home. It is capable of storing enough energy to heat the average home for 1 to 3 days during mild winter weather. A Honeywell thermostat controls the amount of heat distributed throughout your home.

The hot water furnace is designed to sit in a garage, outbuilding or heated workshop. The hot water storage tank is designed to sit inside the home, possibly under a stairway or in a utility room. Charmaster does not store hot water outdoors

Holds Heat Longer
The most important feature of the Charmaster Hot Water System - it does not require a continuous fire in the furnace to heat your home.
The hot water in the storage tank is what heats your home, not the fire in the hot water furnace. If the water storage temperature is warm enough to heat your home, there is no need to have a fire in the furnace. The water temperature in the hot water storage tank indicates when the furnace needs to be fired. The Charmaster Hot Water Furnace has a 30-inch firebox and is capable of heating up to 5,000 square feet.
